PC PC GAMES

One Evil Empire doesn’t want to be outdone by the other…

So, since Activision was fast on the way to overtake EA in bad news and publicity, EA couldn’t just resist and had to step it up a notch.

Not enough that you would change anything that could be fun or familiar in the C&C franchise, you had, of all things take from UBI’s playbook (REALLY?!) and totally muck up what little fan good will.

So yes, C&C4 will require you to be online at all time while playing the game, Single player, skirmish or other. I had to go and take a look at the box at our local best buy just to see how much warning they give you.

Click on the tumb nail and see for yourself. I know my IPhone doesn’t make the greatest of pictures but boy… it would be easy to miss if you didn’t really look.

So I won’t even go into what EA has done to mess up the game itself. That notice makes it an automatic NO BUY. If you love PC games stay away from it and move on to other things. Don’t support publishers that do that to games. There is many of your fellow game fans that either don’t have a reliable connection or can’t be online all the time. This is TOO MUCH!

wow, I’m definitely not buying this one then. C&C RA3 was a bit too much already in my opinion. This is coming from a guy who has really only ever bought C&C games with is own money. Years ago, I got some of the originals for free and so of course went out to buy the rest. Then when First Decade came out, I saw it on sale at Walmart and went “Huh, I could just get that and really be a hard core C&C Fan…” so I did. Pretty much gave me nothing new, but at the time I was thinking, “If it supports a company that making some games that I like…” Now though, RA3 pushed my limits and C&C4 just passed them. Even if I’d like to have the entire set, its just not going to happen with that kind of DRM.

The good old days of the CC game is gone. I am all for new things. Just don’t try this out with a classic game. I was so happy to see this was coming out till I played beta and have seen all the reviews. Only reason I want this now is to follow the story to the end. But I guess YouTube will do that for free!
