Political views set aside. You guys are great and very informative, just, isnt for me anymore. Maybe it just hit a sensitive note.

First of all… it was Will that made the healthcare comment.
Second… we usually don’t talk about anything but gaming, but we all have views and opinions and they flow into what we say.
Third… we are all of different background and have our different views. Just as this podcast is great because not everybody likes the same kind of game, you have a variety of people that have different political opinions.
To say goodbye because you don’t like one, two or a couples people political opinion (that was mentioned in one sentence, because we usually don’t ever talk about politics) is kind of silly.
On a lager point, I as a German (can’t vote and have to deal with the fallout of every election, if I like the party or not) think that this is exactly one of the big hurdles that this country is facing and is fostered by a two party system.
Nobody feels the need to honestly discourse, work on things and maybe compromise, even when in the majority.
Everybody seems to loves democracy, until I say something that hurts you, doesn’t agree with you or impedes on your world view. But in all reality that is what makes democracy great!
I hate to lose any listener, again because I think a diverse group makes for the best kind of group.
Marco, we are here to voice our opinion about our life’s as gamers, our joys and sadness (UBI makes me very sad!)and our world-view is going to be present in our podcasts. I hope you find what you are looking for, if it is entertainment and fun, that is what our podcast strives for.
Sometimes our jokes are lame; sometimes Kommie’s chair squeaks too much; sometime I feel to tired to edit the podcast and don’t do the best job I could…
Nobody is perfect and we do this for the community and our enjoyment. We don’t strive to be and never will be political correct and that is our strength. One political comment in 19 episodes should not be a deal breaker to anyone listening.
Just my two cents!

Free speach is for all, marco dont leave the community because of a this disagreement. Views are not always shared but this was never intended to aggravate people’s thoughts and feeling’s of that I am 100% sure and discussion is beneficial in all areas of life and is what causes progress and understanding. The podcast is people discussing pc gaming but firstly and most importantly they are people. Great show guys, made my bank holiday here in the UK more relaxing having the podcast to listen to on the sofa.

Macro – would hate to see you go, but it is a free country and you can each choose what you listen to and what you don’t.
That being said…I truly hope that one comment on one episode by one person isn’t the only reason you leave the community. Opinions are what make this country great; and opinions are what get this country in trouble. It is a double-edged sword. The comment was my opinion, and I cannot apologize for having an opinion that was granted to me by this great country. It is the First Amendment for a reason.
I will attempt (cannot guarantee) not to bring politics into future podcasts. We have a very diverse group of people who create and listen to the podcast and we don’t make it a point to offend anyone, but it can / will happen due to differing view points.
I won’t get on too much of a soapbox, but life will continue, opinions will continue, and we can only hope that this ruffling of feathers will pass and you will continue to listen to our podcast. If you decide not to listen, then I can only wish the best to you and yours as you continue life’s journey.
Peace,
Wil

I say screw it! Do your podcast any way you want to. It’s your site and you can do as you damn well please. For others to start judging is absolutely ridiculous. The internet is a big place and if they don’t like a particular site, they can go find another to troll on!!!!!!

I can’t even remember what sentence you guys are talking about. I was too busy enjoying all of the other sentences that were said. Great podcast guys! I agree with Maggot up there. Great talk about about sound cards.
May 7th, 2010 on 12:17 am
Agree with Maggot, this is a pc gaming podcast, to leave because of a little comment not even related to pc gaming is silly. Tolerance is being open and respectful to others opinions, it doesn’t mean you have to embrace everyones philosophies and world views; but rather that you at least let people voice their opinion; and even if you don’t agree, you agree to disagree and continue in a civil respectful manner.
Come and Macro, despite a difference of political views we still share a lot of the same views when it comes to gaming.
That there is what this community is about. Great Podcast guys.

Just a FYI, I think the Mech game that you guys happen to talk about was.
http://www.perpetuum-online.com/
They are in closed beta right now and are based in Hungary with a current team of 20 or so people working on it. Nice looking indy MMO game. You can do a youtube search and see a ton of vids on it, some old and some very new.

Just want to correct you guys on the Bungie-Activision deal…
According to gameinformer.com, the deal lets Bungie keep control over their IP ownerships but grants Activision exclusive publishing rights. Bungie’s president also stated that the deal has been in the works for the past 9 months, implying that the Infinity Ward fiasco played no part in their decision…
Just wanted to update you guys because I think you were a little too harsh on assuming what bungie did.
http://gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2010/04/29/bungie-activision-announce-10-year-exclusive-partnership.aspx
P.S… I picked up Guild Wars on Steam during the sale and am loving it! Too bad Josh forgot his character’s names.
May 7th, 2010 on 9:01 pm
… also, here is another good GI article explaining how Bungie keeps its IP rights from the deal.
http://gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2010/04/29/master-of-its-own-universe.aspx

Yeah, the more details emerge the clearer it gets. Bungie keeps all rights, Activision is publishing only with no say in the creative part. So the deal from both parties perspective makes more sense.
The fact remains, Activision is looking REALLY bad right now and seeing anybody jumping into any kind of partnership with them, especially of that caliber is weird.
There is alternatives besides EA, THQ just to name one.
