Tri 6950 flashed to 6970 crossfire

by on Feb.27, 2011, under Hardware, News

I got the cards unpacked them and installed them one at a time and unlocked them to 6970 speed with the xfx 6970 firmware. After I flashed them all I installed them all together to do tri-crossfire. I must say even I was impress with the results, mostly I think from the extra 1gb of memory on the cards.

Now I have to decide if I want to water all the cards down.

wow how can 2/3 of these cards get any air intake. Do you ever any heat issues? Do you plan on including them on the water cooling loop in the future?

    Very nice setup btw.

How are the wires so neatly packed in together? its like its not even there. my psu i got since 2007, are all psu still the same wiring style (bulky) or have they gotten less messy?

Thats easy, and there are 3 reasons.
1st Case has wire managment space behind the motherboard.

2nd the power supply ax1200 is not the run of the mill multi color wires. They are all black.

3rd I bought whats called mod right cable extentions, there are the blue wires you see. I acually will be buying more as I need more for the videocards.
