Legend of Karl Trailer

by on May.31, 2011, under Videos

So, here it finally is. Time to cash in on the kiddies. This is what the pay service looks like. Yes, you get some free with purchase (but the cool,  things that free online communities have been doing for years at no charge) we build in now at a nominal fee. We have seen this coming for a while now and sadly I think Activision will convince enouh kids to spend their parents money on this.

UBISOFT DRM… told you so!

by on May.26, 2011, under News

From the beginning of UBI’s insistence that you use their servers we have told you that we think it is a bad idea. Now a year later lets see what happened:

So today, while pirates still play the game to their hearts content FILEZZ can’t, because he purchased it on STEAM today. Well done UBI… we did tell you so!

Any doubt that Diablo 3 will be ground breaking game?

by on May.26, 2011, under News

You wonder what could take so long. Wonder why D3 is no out yet, heck we said it before, re-skin the previous version (high res texture D2) and we are happy. But now that the game seem to be getting close and more and more things are released the more things look like a true blockbuster that will set the tone for things to come.

Today you can look at one such mile stone. Blizzard released the Runestones that have been talked about before and shows how they affect your character. Take a look, there is some exiting stuff!

TrackMania United Forever Star Edition – $10 on Steam today only!

by on May.25, 2011, under Gaming, News

We don’t work for Steam/Valve or have any affiliation, but I had to post this because Track Mania is an awesome game! Some very fond LAN memories around this game. So if you like racing games and you’re not a strict simulation driver then this game is super fun and pretty challenging due to it’s physics.

For $10 you can’t go wrong. Here ya go: http://store.steampowered.com/app/7200/

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Reveal Trailer

by on May.24, 2011, under Gaming, Videos

So, here it is. Every new NOV we see a new MW. Is it just me or look the FX dated? I think with this game specially it is very obvious that the console is holding the visuals (most likely the game-play too) back. I purchased the last one, but ended up not playing it much, so I will pass on this for sure and wait for a $20 sale or something. They do make it look like a movie, that could have a good plot, so we will see.

Lionhead: Pre-owned worse than PC piracy

by on May.19, 2011, under News

Fable III developer Lionhead has told Eurogamer that second-hand (pre-owned) sales on Xbox 360 are today a bigger problem than piracy on PC. Fortunately, Lionhead has already managed to cover development costs with first-hand Xbox 360 sales, which are “in their millions”.

A reason to reinstall ARMA2… Zombies

by on May.18, 2011, under Videos

You have to love PC gaming. Being able to MOD a game just adds live and always something new. Now there is plenty of MODs and Missions one can download for ARMA 2 but this will have me really reload the game:

Bioware Romance

by on May.18, 2011, under News

If I have to read one more article how relationships and romance encounters are going to change in XYZ Bioware or other game I am going to cry.
Is this really the extend of what we PC gamers are looking for now. Or is it that big companies try to appeal to the Farmville crowd to get more people to buy their game?
I am skeptical that studios will really gain more customers, but rather alienate their fans when dumbing things down, soap stories up or appeal to quick and easy achievements. I know that some feel that way about DragonAge.
Next big test will be The old Republic. Are you going to make a great MMO, or produce a great soap? I know which one I am willing to pay for!
